Trip to Dallas, Texas!!

My trip to Texas was great fun. Two of my greatest friends live down there, Branden and Maddie. It was my first time flying by myself and I was a little nervous but did okay. I went down there to get away from Utah, see some place new, to play, and to get some answers for myself. I am truly grateful for the time that I had with them and it put a lot of things into perspective. There is nothing like being with a good girl friend who will cry and laugh with you 'til 3 in the morning...
We went to Six Flags for my 26th Birthday! It was a lot of fun. We rode all the major rides like Batman, Superman, The Freeze, and the Texas GIANT!
While waiting in line we were teasing Maddie's younger brother and his friend, we ended up just squirting water all over each other.

Bumper Cars! We laughed our guts out...
Branden and I are on the left! Sweet ride!

I made Branden go on the carousel with me. He insisted on riding the Black Stallion!
That's right...we are a bunch of BULL!
Branden and I went to Dallas to walk around. We went to the 6th Floor Museum at Westend. It is where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. It was really neat to walk through all the exhibits. There were some points where I had to really stop, wipe my eyes and take it all in. The blackened cornered window is where Lee Harvey Oswald shot the President.
See the X on the street...that is where JFK was shot.
Here I am in the Grassy Knoll. It is just across the street from the building. They initially thought the gunfire came from here...

We were able to ride horses at Maddie's Barn. It was a lot of fun! My horse, Lacey Chantilly Lay, had total attitude! She wasn't very happy and kept running towards the barn. I thought I was gonna die at one point. She was going at full speed and was extremely close to the fence. My leg got a little caught on the wires. I was thankful that my foot didn't get snagged and pull me off! YEEHAW!

This is the "Flower Mound"! Supposedly it's a Indian Burial Site and so, every time they have tried to built upon it...natural disasters have destroyed everything. It is now a huge mound of flowers. As you can see they have all dried up and were very few pretty ones left.
