Here's Your Sign...

Ever since Blue Collar Comedy told their stories of "Here's Your Sign". I have had numerous over the years. Today I had one that I would like to share:

I went into Plates and Palates to get a salad for lunch. The kid behind the counter before even asking what I wanted, exclaimed, "You have a cochlear implant!" Now...he pronounced it "cock-lear" when it should be/is "coke-lear". When I told him yes I have a "coke-lear" implant, he asked, "Well what does it do for you?" I kinda just looked at him and said, "Um...it helps me hear?" He then was like, "Right on" and asked many questions. Of course I chuckled to myself and thought, "Here's Your Sign."

My mom gets crazy stories too. "Is that dog in training?" "Are you blind?" "Is the dog working?" blah, blah. It's like, c'mon people, I just want to live my life!
(I mean, people are nice people -- and we're always nice back. Except for the time at Sea World...someone asked my mom if they could pet Cricket and my sweet mom said "no, she bites!" Scared the kid, for sure)

We have those moments all of the time too. One time at Wal-mart, Shane saw a kid from his hometown and asked, "You're off your mission huh?" As soon as we walked away, It ached to be said...no Shane, he just flew in for the rollback prices, here's yer sign. Too bad Shane's not the only one that does it if you know what I mean.
